Mestská vila na Štefánikovom nábreží 5 v Banskej Bystrici bola postavená v minulom storočí, v roku 1930. Napriek tomu, že od tohto obdobia uplynulo už veľa času, dom v centre mesta pod Urpínom so silným genius loci dýcha históriou a nevídanou atmosférou aj dnes.

Dom bol známy vďaka významnej Banskobystričanke, umelkyni, výtvarníčke Júlii Bukovej, ktorá vo vile bývala a tvorila. Zámerom súčasných majiteľov objektu je stavebnými úpravami zrekonštruovať na dvoch poschodiach štyri dvojizbové byty určené na prenájom. V prípade záujmu môžu byť využívané aj ako kancelárske priestory. Súčasťou projektu je nadstavba vily, ktorú bude tvoriť jeden trojizbový byt, resp. kancelársky priestor, dostupný tak isto na prenájom. Suterén ponúkne podnikateľom konferenčnú miestnosť (kancelársky priestor) s kapacitou cca 40 ľudí.

Rekonštrukcia vily bude zahŕňať štandardy najvyššej kvality, ako sú komfortné priestory s podlahovým a stropným kúrením v zime alebo chladením v lete, vysokorýchlostný optický internet pre každú jednotku, ale napríklad aj nabíjacia stanica pre elektromobily v exteriéri. Samozrejmosťou projektu rekonštrukcie Vily na nábreží je vybudovanie nových spevnených plôch, prístupu k vile a parkovacích miest.
